So, I went to the Walmart today and at the beginning of my trip picked up a cabbage, because I was really craving corned beef and cabbage (because of obvious holiday related circumstances). But when I got to the check out lady, I realized that I never picked up the corned beef, and therefore had no use for the cabbage. Well, so I told the lady that I didn't want the cabbage anymore, and to make a long story short, SHE MADE ME BUY IT! But mostly I didnt want to fight with her because I was anxious to leave the store because she was the slowest cashier ever. But what she said was, " It's really cheap right now, and I don't know how to take it back." (or something like that). and then she scanned it!!!!
So here I am with this Darned Cabbage (edited for family friendly purposes). It really wasn't that expensive, only like 75 cents, but it's the principle of the matter!

And that's exactly why I abhor WalMart. You could saute it in oil and serve with steamed veggies, Asian style.

That would have been infuriating. I'm sorry. You could make slaw, or sour kraut, or kimchee, or just cut it up and throw it in a salad. A whole world of cabbage related recipes awaits you!
how retarded,... I just had corned beef and cabbage. it was yummy. I shared with my brothers. :) I didn't realize it was holiday related. I just got a cabbage in one of these surprise organic vegetable boxes that I get so I decided I would make it haha. it was yummy. you will have to go back and get both of them for real this time.

When I told Mr. N that story he cracked up...but it was mainly at your response "She made me buy the [darn] cabbage!" It was so funny!
