Yesterday, I was cleaning the kitchen and I decided I should turn on the radio because I had this song in my head and I wanted something else in my head instead. And as I went to go turn on the radio I happened to be singing this song... you know, "It's too late to apologize...." and then I turned on the radio, and the real singer was singing, "It's too Late!" It was the exact next line after the one I had just sang! SO WEIRD! They do overplay that song, so maybe it is not that much of a coincidence.
But speaking of which, when I was in High School there was one week where the DJ's must have been on vacation or something and just kept playing the exact same song schedule, Every morning for maybe 3 days in a row, my alarm clock would go off at 6:05 am and play the exact same song (I wanna live where the green grass grows, by Tim McGraw) at the exact same place. So weird! It was like I was living my own Groundhogs day!

Gettin' so big....
Our Quincey is growing so darned fast! I mean in some ways.... See, in some ways it feels like it was just yesterday that he was a little baby, but in other ways, like when he WON'T STAY STILL when I am trying to change him it feels like it has been forever! So, I guess that just means he is growing normally.
But just a quick update....
But just a quick update....
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!

The Golden Compass

I am not promoting this movie, don't worry...
I just really liked this movie review about the Golden Compass. I know it is a controversial movie, but I liked what this guy had to say. Especially this quote...
Rather than saying, “I wonder if the Magisterium is supposed to represent the modern Catholic church?,” sit on the edge of your seat and say “Wow! Two polar bears beating the shale out of each other. Cool!”
Check it out!

Google Reader!

One of my friends had this on her blog and it has saved me so much time! Thanks KJ!!! So, I thought I would pass on the favor for my other blog readers who may have not heard of this wonderful invention! Google Reader notifies you when the blogs you read are updated. It saves you so much time instead of clicking on each individual blog to see if they are updated. So, check it out! Just another thing that is making blogging the best thing ever! Here is the link

Christmas Decorating!
Last night for FHE we decided to do some decorating! It was a blast! Q had so much fun... a lot more fun than we thought he would. The bright lights just got him movin' his arms about as fast as propellers. We thought he might take off!
We are quite excited for Christmas time. My favorite things about Christmas are... And, this is in order. (sorry, friends and family... I just really like Peppermint ice cream!)
1. The focus on the Christmas story.
2.Peppermint ice cream
3. Friends and Family
4. Shopping! Great sales!
5. lights
Don't worry, we didn't let him play with these lights, he just did... he sure did love them!

Aunt Kally
My dear friend Kally came to visit the other day and we had so much fun! It was a blast to reminisce about the old times at Cougar Creations and we even went there and took pictures. It made me realize what an important thing it is to keep in touch with old friends. It really helps to get together and remember that you had a past! and memories! Especially for me, because I have a really bad memory on my own... I need people to remind me. It is also really neat to see your friends happy after such a long time. That is also why I am thankful for blogging so that we can always know what is going on with each other. Oh, and journals too... I need to be better at that, though.....
Anyways! We love you Aunt Kally! Thanks for visiting us!
First Haircut
Well, Q was starting to look a bit feminine... his hair was just growing so fast in the back, so G got out the clippers and gave him his first little haircut. It wasn't very much....but I still felt that it needed to be documented with pictures so here they are. And no, we didn't save his hair in a ziploc. That kinda sicks me out.

Thanksgiving!
Well, better late than never..... Our Thanksgiving was so much fun! Remember how I told you about all of the yummy food we were going to have pre-Thanksgiving? Well, let's just say it was all amazing and to die for. In fact I am still recovering, and haven't really wanted to eat a whole lot. I ate way too much. We had so much fun with my sister's family in Idaho. Here are some pictures of the good times....

Lunch Date
Today we had a lunch date! I know, maybe we should wait until at least one year for them to date, but I guess I am a push over!
Q: "Mom! Stop taking pictures, you are embarrassing me!"M: "What is this boy doing to me? Let go of my hand!!"
This was a different time but I thought it was such a cute expression. He actually does it a lot, He thinks he is so funny.Thanksgiving plans....
I love gobble gobble time. We are planning on going up to my sister's house in Idaho. I am so excited. We are going to have a Greek night, a Chinese night, and then the traditional Thanksgiving dinner. I am so excited. (I think I mentioned that.) Greek food is by far my all time favorite food. I love gyros, Souvlaki, and Dolmades, rice pudding, lemon rice, oh! and feta cheese... yummy...
G doesn't necessarily like it as much as I do, but he eats it, so that is good enough for me. So, I will let you know how it goes!
This past weekend G's family was in town so we got to have a pre-Thanksgiving feast. Mmmmm.... Yummy, I love all of the stuffing and mashed potatoes, and the pies... yes, the pies. We had a lot of fun with the family. (sorry that you had to leave so early Phoebe, if you had stayed a little longer, I might have beat you in boggle!!!) (yeah, right...) But I did buy boggle today, and I have been practicing by myself.... (such a loser).
Anyways, that is about it here.

The NEXT movie critic? no way...
So, those of you who know me very well, know that I love movies. And this past weekend, was definitely a movie watching weekend because of forces outside of our control. So, I thought that I would update on what we thought on some of these money makers.
*First!!! a Disclaimer...*
And let me just say, that I am not attempting to be a movie critic, because movie critics, in my opinion, are often so stuck on nit-picking that they cannot sit back and enjoy some good ol' fashioned pure entertainment. And I, on the other hand love pretty much all types of movies, except the stuff that the critics like!!!! Maybe it is strictly out of rebellion, one cannot be sure. I have a little, (not tested), theory that if you want to impress a film critic all you have to do is make a movie about war. They jump all over that stuff.
Okay, disclaimer over...
1st movie on the agenda...

Next, you know the one with Nick Cage? We really enjoyed this movie. There were many cool action moves, and plus, I think that seeing into the future is a really cool super hero trick, and I would much rather see 2 minutes of it, than have to get high and paint it. (those of you who have seen the series Heroes, should understand, and if you haven't seen that series... you should! it is really enjoyable.)
I must say, that G loves Nick as an actor because Gone in sixty seconds is pretty much his favorite movie (but mostly because he thinks Eleanor is one of the hottest things on 4 wheels. ) But I myself can't get past the fact that he mumbles! and I never like his hair. Yes, those might seem like picky things, but the fact that I can still like his movies, shows that my nit-pickiness is not way overboard. I just thought it was worth mentioning.
So, to sum it up, you should see this movie. I think it has a cool twist... at first it bugged me, but the more I thought about it, the more it stuck with me.
Okay, that is actually enough movie reviews for today, but I will get back to you later with more of my thoughts on the entertainment that I immerse my time with.

Recovery
Well, it got worse before it got better.... the sickness I mean. Yesterday, I got really sick too, and so G was taking care of 2 sick babies. Both Q and I are doing much better now, but still might give us one more day to fully recover. I am so glad G was here to take care of us... I was so weak I couldn't hardly pick Q up. But I got well enough that I was able to make the brownies that I was craving all day long. I finally made them and took a bite and realized that that isn't what I wanted at all. My eyes are bigger than my stomach, I guess. oh well...

sick of sickness...
Well, just to fill everyone on the past little while... Quincey is so sick. He threw up once on Wednesday and 5 or 6 times yesterday. Today it has only been twice so far. I called the doctor yesterday, and they said just to keep an eye on him and watch for dehydration. So, that is what we are doing! But, man it is so frustrating to have to go through 5 or 6 different outfits everyday, for both Quincey and myself. So, that is what is going on here. It is so funny how Quincey acts so normal and I think he is getting better, and then he vomits again. What a trooper. I think it is harder on me than it is on him.

What a cute little Froggie...
Well, we survived Q's first Halloween! We had a blast. We went to downtown Provo and trick or treated in the local businesses. It was so fun to see all of the different costumes that people came up with, and to see all of the cutie kids. Quincey seemed to have a blast! we let him take the candy from the buckets, and at first, he was kind of unsure, and kept looking up at the candy giver and then back at us. But man did he get the hang of it! In no time he was practically diving with both hands and trying to grab 10 at a time. After he grabbed his candy of choice he would immediately claim his property by shoving them directly in his mouth. Then we would switch every time we came to a new business.

Poor Guy...
Well, basically I just feel so bad for little Quince, let me explain. For the past month or so, Quincey has been waking up about once in the night and we just let him work it out for a few minutes, and he puts himself back to sleep. A lot of times I think it's because he is cold. We have a space heater in his room, and I told Geren to adjust it up a couple of degrees to make sure he stays warm, and I made sure that Quincey had a really warm night gown on. Well, last night about 5:00 am, he woke up and he kept going in and out of sleep for about 15 minutes.. finally I decided I should at least check on him and make sure he was okay. Well, the minute I opened his door it was like walking into a furnace. The heater was set at 88 degrees, I think because we forgot to push the button so it would hold the temperature. It was soooo hot! And to top it all off, he was in the warmest night gown I could find. He was so sweaty. He seems to be recovered now. I am so glad that children forgive their parents so easily for all of the dumb mistakes we make. But maybe I shouldn't let him read this when he is a teenager, because then he may never forgive me!

Light on his feet...
Quincey has been running since he has been 5 months old, but we never got it on camera. We just thing it is so adorable how he is so light on his feet!

Can't make up his mind!!!
My friend brought over her dog, Kumo, to play with Quince, and he was not sure at first what to think of him. We couldn't decide if Quincey likes him or not. You decide.
Only from a straw, please.....

Our Vegas Trip
Well, we are back from our 2nd Anniversary trip to Las Vegas . Yep, that's right folks, 2 years. We can't decide if it has gone fast or slow. I think it seems like we've been married much longer than that. Even my mom thought that we were married for 3 years, and it took me a while to catch it. But, regardless , it has been 2 years and a great 2 years at that.
We decided to go to Las Vegas just to kind of see new scenery for a few days, and it was really great. It was really fun to have Quincey with us. We weren't sure how that was going to go, but man, did he have fun. He loved all of the bright lights and the hotel rooms and swimming in the really big bath tub. He also got star treatment from everyone. The man at the pizza stand thought he was so cute that he gave him a bread stick... He liked it, but I got to benefit from it too. He is very useful to have around. But really he got a lot of attention, it was fun to see all of the looks on people's faces when they saw him and said, "Oh, look at the baby"
Everyone mentioned 2 things,
1: His shoes, and how cute they are.
2: They made jokes about if he was winning us a lot of money. To which of course we would reply in the affirmative and tell them about what a high roller he is.
Overall the trip was a success, but we are glad to be back. Quincey sleeps much better in his own bed.
You Can Do It.... I can help.
This was Quincey trying to support the orange. (Geren's Home Depot hat.) He of course only wanted to wear it gangsta' style. He really is such a cool dude. It is so funny how he poses for the camera. Even if I am just holding it, he starts staring at it with his cute little smile. Can anyone say modeling in the future?
