Thank you Mom!

Man from the future! (or just woman from the past)

All day yesterday I thought that it was Thursday, but really it was Friday! Now I feel like I missed a whole day! We always go out to eat on Friday nights and Geren called me yesterday and our conversation went something like this.....

G: Hey I'm comin' home early, lets go out to eat around 4:30p.

Me: oooo you want to go out? (really shocked, because it was only Thursday!)

G: (sounding confused) oh do you not want to?

Me: No of course I do, I'm just surprised that you want to.

G: Uhhhh.... okay, whatever.


He didn't say anything else. And then during dinner we had another conversation that went something like this...

G: Do you want to do anything else this evening?

Me: (wondering what has gotten into him and why he is feeling so adventurous on a weeknight.) Yeah, okay... do you wanna go get a movie or something?

On Fridays too we normally stay up a little later, But last night I was really tired while I was reading my book, so I just went to Bed. Geren came in later, and woke me up and was like why didn't you tell me you were going to bed?? And I just thought Man, what a drama queen!
But I woke up this morning and I was just thinking about the Office (the TV show on Thursday nights) and how it seemed awhile since I watched it. Only after checking my cell phone did I believe that it was actually Saturday!!! And then I started thinking about our conversations and how they made a lot more sense when I realized that G and I were living in different days! Ha ha ha... Poor guy, he must think I'm so crazy, and I very well may be!

Lately, Maiya has really started to smile and coo at us. It is so fun to see her face light up when you talk to her. She seems to really love the attention.

Favorite Pastime

Lately, this is all Quincey wants to do... Curl up with all of his stuffed animals and watch his favorite movie, Cars. (which he refers to as Vroom-Vroom!)

Mommy's helper!

Q and I had fun making pumpkin muffins together. He poured in the ingredients and held the mixer while it mixed. He also helped me out with taste testing! And they were excellent muffins.... Thanks Courtney!

Things Maiya Loves

Baby Maiya is officially one month old! Time is going so fast. She is still such a sweet little baby. She loves being on her belly, bath time, the pretty bows that Aunt Melanie made for her, and her binky!

Weekend fun.

This weekend was so much fun for our family. On Friday we went out to dinner with friends.

On Saturday we went to an air show! It was a lot of fun. Quincey sure had a blast looking at all of the planes. They sure could do some cool things with those planes! P.s. Mrs. S... do you recognize this type of double stroller? I am kind of embarrassed that we have the same strollers and car seats.... I tried to get a different one, but I liked it the best. Hey, at least they are different colors this time!

We also all went to the park and played Tennis. This was so much fun! Q had so much fun running around and fetching our balls for us. It was good to get a bit of exercise too. Plus I kicked Geren's hiney!

I swear I always come up with tons of things that I would like to blog about, usually in my drowsy states when I am trying to go to sleep or trying to wake up, and then by the time I get to the computer I forget them all. Most of the time I think this is a blessing because I think most of my ideas are crazy and nonsensical. Anyway, I thought you should just know that you have many times been saved by my bad memory.

On another note, I need to recommend this movie...

Both Geren and I really enjoyed this movie. That is all I am going to say about it because I enjoyed not knowing anything about it when I watched it, so you will have to see what you think.

Sunday Dress...

This was what Maiya wore to church today. It is so fun to dress a little girl.

Flashback.

I was recently looking through old baby pictures. I think it is fun to note similarities between parents and offspring. Like how Quincey has blonde hair and Maiya is starting to look like she is going to have blue eyes. Looking back at my baby pictures it is weird to see that I was a blonde hair and blue eyed baby!

2 week update!

Baby Maiya had her 2 week appointment last Thursday, and everything is going well. She weighed 8 pounds 1 ounce. I can't believe how time flies and how fast babies grow! She is so strong already. And she smiles at us every once in a while. She also laughs in her sleep. She has been such a joy to have in our home.

She always kicks her feet out of her sleepers like this... such a silly girl.

This was on our trip to Utah... I think she looks stressed out! Or maybe just ready to get out of the car.

I was oh so excited that it worked out that I was able to see my dear good friend Lillian and her family while we were in Utah. They were there visiting from far away! So, it just happened to work out. I believe it was fate.

Petting Zoo

This past weekend we went up to Utah for our nieces baby blessing. It was really neat to be with all of the family and to meet baby Shaye.
While we were there we went to the petting zoo at Thanksgiving Pointe. Quincey got to ride his first horse! And feed his first cow! And kiss his first chihuahua! And baby Maiya just mostly slept. But both kids did really well on the trip and we are glad to be back safely.
