12 months!

Aftyn is a very snuggly girl. She has a very chill personality. She learned to crawl around 8 months, and was fine with that. She is starting just learned to clap for the first time yesterday. I've been trying to get her to do it for awhile, but she wouldn't give me the pleasure. ;) She is pretty reserved, so she doesn't like to show off too much. She has started to walk with me holding her hands. So, shouldn't be too long!

Aftyn's 1st Birthday

This past year has gone by like a breeze! We have had such a great year. It has been fun watching baby Affy grow.

Opening Presents

Quincey bought this bracelet for her at the Christmas Store at his school. I think it looks like she is holding it up to inspect it.  And it is approved! Thanks big brother Q. 

We loved how dainty she was eating the cake.  Such a little dainty princess.

My girls

I just love my sweet girlies. They are best friends. Ever since A was teeny teeny she loved to snuggle up to her big sister and watch movies. And she still loves it!!!! And it amazes me. Q and M were never the snuggling type. But my little Aftyn never wants to get down from snuggling. And she loves to snuggle with Maiya and I about equally.
And I just love how M is so protective of 'her baby'. The only problem with it is that if Q ever wants to play with Affy, there are big problems. He has to fight Very Hard. We are working on that.

Maiya's Own Christmas Tree

My mom made this Christmas Tree for us last year and Maiya has claimed it as her own. She loves to decorate it with anything she can find, and even likes to snuggle with it sometimes. Seems like she has a nice pet. We better find a name for it. ;)

Gingerbread House

We had a blast making our Gingerbread House last night for family home evening. Quincey got really into it. He did not want to stop decorating! We will definitely make this a tradition from now on.

Quincey is such a big help with Affy.  A while ago he came up with this song to sing to her when I would ask him to try to get the baby to stop crying.  He still loves to sing it to her, and I thought I better get it on video, so we wouldn't forget!  Aftyn loves this song! It really does help make her happy.  Right before I started taking this video she was crying.  She loves her  big brother and sister. 

11 months

Only a couple more weeks until Affie is one! This year has gone by really fast, that's for sure. We all love our little girl. She still is very cautious and not very interested in walking, but she loves to pull herself up on almost everything, but then calls for a rescue, because she is not quite sure how to get down. So silly!

Q's first field trip

Quince had his first field trip in his kindergarten class and we got to go to Sutherland Farms all together. It is neat to see how excited Quincey and Maiya are to be able to be with each other at a class thing. Wish they liked having each other around just as much at home too. ;)

Halloween!

Ice cream Cone, Harry potter, and little red riding hood. We sure had fun dressing up! Quincey won a costume contest on Saturday night. By the time Wednesday came though we lost his glasses and wand, so we improvised. :)

Albuquerque Baloon Fiesta

We were able to go to the Balloon Fiesta a couple of weekends ago, and it was awesome! We all had so much fun, and will definitely make a tradition out of it! I was surprised at all of the different shapes of balloons there were.  And we really loved to watch them heat up the balloons, the fire felt nice and warm too.  Even though we had to wake up so early, everyone had such a great time, it was worth it!

We woke up super early!  and got to see them light up in the dark!

We got to watch them set up the Bee Balloons right from the very beginning. There were 3 of them. 'Joey', 'Lilly', and their baby, 'Joely'.

Do you see 'Spider Pig' in the background, he was one of my favorites.

I LOVED seeing all of the hundreds of balloons in the sky all at once.
