Aftyn has struggled going to Sunbeams since the beginning of the year. I was sitting with her yesterday during singing time. I had tried several times to get her to let me go. She was having fun with the songs and finally looked at me and said, "okay, Mom, you can go." And she stayed for the entire time! I love this story because it shows how important it is for her to make the first move, to be independent and to be her own authority. (Like her mama). It's one of those things that you think is simple and small, but is actually a big wonderful step!

Making Waves
Miss Aftyn is my little 'social butterfly.' She loves to wave at everyone.... I mean everyone. It is so fun to see how she loves to brighten days and bring smiles to faces. She has become a big distraction to those sitting around us in Sacrament meeting, because she sits and waves to them and smiles at them throughout the entire meeting. When we go grocery shopping I will look behind me and see everyone waving back at her. Her favorite thing is to find someone who is not looking at her and she will stare at them and wave at them until they notice her. In fact, I thought it was quite fitting when I was looking through some old pictures and I realized that she was a 'waver' even from the womb....

| My exact quote from my post was that "The baby kept waving at us! Hi Mom! Hi Dad!" |
Here are a couple of Videos... I know, so rude of me to always interrupt her when she is trying to eat.

Roll Over!
Baby girl learned to roll over a couple of days ago. Here is a video of that!
(sorry for the loud Strawberry Shortcake in the background, big sister Maiya begged me not to turn it down.)
And she has learned to scoot backward with her feet while laying on her back. I will lay her on her play mat, and then come back a few minutes later and find her like this....
Let the mobility begin!
