Dear Maiya,
When you were first born, you were such a calm and mild tempered little baby. Your brother Quincey was always so active and high spirited that I remember it being a stark contrast. I thought that you were going to be my quiet, calm and snuggly girl forever.
But, wow! The days that I would describe you as a calm and mild tempered snuggler are long gone! You have a wonderfully feisty personality. You love to tease and laugh. You also love to throw fits and say NO! You actually remind me a lot of myself ( especially the feisty and sassy parts).
You are extremely social and never seem to tire of being around your friends. I put you in nursery at church when you were 14 months old, mostly because you were so cute and friendly that the teachers wanted you there, and you've never wanted me to stay or had mommy withdrawals once!
Something that I find interesting about you is that you love going to the doctor, in fact you beg to go there quite often. You like to get shots, and get your blood drawn. For the past several months you have come with me to go to the doctor to get my blood drawn. You tell me where to sit and where to put my arms and reassure me that I will be okay, and it will only hurt a little. You had to get yours drawn once (just a routine test) and now you throw fits when I get my blood drawn and you can't!
Anyway, I just wanted you to know that you bring so much joy into our lives. Thank you for being so fun and sweet (and a little feisty).

She's so cute! Love her big smile! That's crazy how she likes getting her blood drawn...hehe What a character! :) Maybe she'll be a nurse someday.
So stinkin cute, and I think she knows she's cute which is a BIG problem! I remember her at the hospital that one time where she wanted to get her's drawn too, but she settled for a sticker or something like that. So funny. She must really like Blood... does she watch Twilight with you??

So cute! Miss Maiya is at such a fun age! How funny about the doctor's office and wanting blood drawn...hopefully she doesn't grow out of that anytime soon!
