Quincey is one determined little boy. He does not give up on things that he wants very easily. In the past he has most often used kicking and screaming methods. But lately he has been using a method that cracks me up. I call it the 'pitching' method. Here is an example of a typical conversation.
Q: Mommy, I would like to watch the black spiderman movie.
Me: Not right now bud, you've already watched that a million times today.
Q: But Mom! It's got the red spiderman, and venom!,and the sandman, and the Hobgoblin! It's really, really good mommy. You will like it! I promise!
and another
Q: I would like a fruit bar (nutri-grain bar) please?
Me: No, we are going to have lunch in a few minutes.
Q: But Mom! It's soft and has fruit in it, and it's really really good, it's my favorite!
Never a dull moment :)

heehee! that's too funny! It's so funny the different methods kids will use to get something they want.
Russell, my oldest, used to use the "educational" method. If he wanted a toy at the store he would explain to me all the educational aspects of whatever it had. :) Our kids know our weaknesses better than we do I'm afraid. :)
Ahhh, what a charismatic little charmer he's growing up to be! ;)
hahahahaha...love it. I hope he is starting to use more of the pitching method than the screaming/tantrums. Caleb is definitely a fan of the screaming method right now. :)
We are so scientific with all of our methods :) I love the 'educational' method, Boston. How smart of him to know what you value.
Yeah, I am just thankful that the kicking and screaming has lessened. It's definitely less annoying, but it's not easier to say no to!
what a clever kid...that is a skill that might be put use someday!
He's one smart cookie!!
Bwahahaaaha
Megan, this is Carolyn Holderness. We worked at the Tanner building together 3.5 years ago...I was the secretary for the OLS department and you were the best copy-maker ever! Anyway, I just found your blog through Allison's blog and I'm excited to see your cute kids! I hope you're doing well.
Hilarious! With an argument like "it's soft and has fruit in it" I'm sure you were quickly won over to his way of thinking.
