Anyone who knows me, probably knows that I am not always the most decisive cookie in the box. If you take me to a restaurant, I like to be able to read through the entire menu to make sure I am not missing anything, and I will usually go back and forth several times before I make my perfect selection. Even if I have been there a million times before.
Well, I have a sneaky suspicion that this trait is hereditary.
A typical conversation between Q and me goes something like this...
Q: Mama, song?
M: Okay, which song would you like me to sing?
Q: ummmmm...... Pig? (which means old McDonald had a farm)
M: Okay!
And then about 2 seconds after I start singing it, I hear...
Q: ummmm...... Snowman?
And then 2 seconds after I start that one...
Q: NO! ummmm.... Bingo!
etc., etc until he has listed all of the songs he knows and then repeats them.....
Now, If this habit only happened with songs this would not be a problem. This happens with food, clothing, toys, and many other things. The worst is movies. Because he will beg and beg and beg for Cars, and then I put it in and fast forward through the previews and finally get to where it starts and of course he starts whining... NO! Panda!!!
Now, I hope you do not believe that I cater to all of these wishes, No, Ma'am! But, wow, it is sure something we are having to work on. He his getting better with time, he is learning to sit there and warm up to the activity. The good part of this, is I think it has almost cured me of my indecisive-ness, because it gets so old!

Yeah I bet it does get old!
Man, that sounds like singing time at our house! Every 2 seconds she wants a new song!
Haha yeah that sounds about right! Sawyer's having a phase similar to that too, but we've really started cracking down on his learning that the first thing he says is what's going to be stuck to. He gets mad sometimes, but hopefully it'll slowly turn around & he'll start learning to think before deciding/requesting something. Hope he grows out of the phase for you soon!
Haha! That's hilarious. Ya, I think the boys got a couple of my bad habits to. For instance, Sam is a total moper. Oh, well.
ha ha that was funny!
I am SO indecisive too, it's funny sometimes but annoying some other times!
thanks for visiting my blog, we all miss you here :)
hugsssss
So much like his mother! :-)
I feel your pain. It's even worst now that both of the older kiddos can talk b/c not only does Ezra go back and forth 50 times, now so does Georgia and they rarely end up with the same thing. C'est la vie.
