Farmington, New Mexico

We just got back from our trip to New Mexico, it was a lot of fun. We (Q and I) stayed with my brother and sister in law, while G worked on his Grandma's house down in Roswell. They showed us a great time. Here are some pictures to document the occasion....

All of Q's cousins were so helpful, and played really well with him, he had so much fun with them.

We got to go to a Children's museum, and Q had a blast playing with all of the toys and other kids. He especially enjoyed the xylophone.

Mommies Night Out!!!!

This time I decided to focus my pictures on the yummy sandwhiches, soups, and salads!!!

I hope you are as excited as I am that the time for our Mommies Night Out is fast approaching! I wanted to remind everyone that the date is this Thursday, Feb. 28th. We will meet at my house at 7:30 and then be heading to Zupas!!! The menu says that theFondue costs $9.99 and serves 2-3 people. So, It might be a good idea to bring about $5.00 cash so that we can split the cost of our yummy reward :)
And remember that you don't need to be a mommy to attend, and please invite anyone who is in need of a refreshing night on the town with the ladies! And as always, no babies allowed!!!

Reminiscing on V-days of Yore

Today I was reminded of Last Valentine's Day when Quincey was just a couple of weeks of old! When Geren came home from work, he was welcomed with his own little Valentine from Q.... (If you can't read the sign on the picture below, it says "Happy Valentine's Day Dad!"

I also made a 'heart' lunch. with heart shaped cheese, and apples, and sandwiches! Oh, how creative I am. We'll see if I do anything this year....

Holidays are so much more fun with kids! Q woke up today to his own little Valentine, and got to spoil his breakfast! What a way to start the day!

Exciting Times!

Well, it's been awhile... bloggers block, again. And We've just been really busy! We had 3 different appointments 3 days in a row this past week!! Quincey had his 12 month check-up. He is now in the 25 percentile for weight!!! and 50% for height. Pretty crazy how much he looks like a little boy now, and less like a baby. I also had my check up and we got to hear the heartbeat and the baby seems to be doing great! Time is going fast...

Last Thursday Geren and I were invited to something for people who had a connection with a state in Germany called Saarland. Most of them were missionaries that had served there once upon a time, some back in the 60's! It was held in the Little America Hotel in Salt Lake, and it was real intimate, only about 100 people. AND President Uchtdorf (this was of course right before he was called to the First Presidency) was there. And Marlin K. Jensen was there as well, and we got to talk to both of them. We also got to sit real close to the podium while President Uchtdorf spoke. It was neat to meet them in such a laid back setting. The food was really good as well, They served a buffet of German foods. All in all, I thought it was such a neat opportunity that would be hard to be apart of if we weren't in Utah. Plus we got to have an excuse to get a baby sitter. And yes, we had to miss the premiere episode of Lost, but we caught it online, the next day.... don't worry ;)

The next day, we decided to head up to President Hinckley's viewing. We had to wait a little less than 3 hours, but I thought it was very worth it. It was evident by the feeling once you walked in that room, that he was someone who spent his life in a great way. It was inspirational.

On the way to the conference center, we found Quince's street... tee hee, Mostly I add this because I know my mother's sense of humor, and she will appreciate it.

Well, I think that is about all that has been going on for now. But these are exciting times!
